"Dr. Pradeep Mohan has 25+ years of experience in the field of automotive safety. He leads a diverse team at Humanetics India involving product engineering, CAE & manufacturing. His core expertise is in computational mechanics and he specializes in issues related to vehicle structure and occupant safety performance. His experience includes setting vehicle crash strategies, vehicle design/development process and testing to meet regulatory compliance, consumer metrics and OEM requirements for crashworthiness.
Prior to joining Humanetics, Dr. Mohan served as Research Director at the George Washington University and was actively involved in sponsored research projects with the U.S. Department of Transportation (FHWA & NHTSA). He also managed the outdoor crash testing lab at the Turner Fairbank Highway Research Center in Mclean, Virginia and was involved in crash testing of vehicles and anti-ram security barriers. He also served as Peer review panel member for NASA’s Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle landing studies. He has authored over 40 peer reviewed conference & journal papers.
Dr. Mohan has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, Master’s degree from Tuskegee University, Alabama and PhD from The George Washington University, USA. His overall experience spans automotive industry, academia and government sponsored research."
