He is the recipient of One Globe Award-2016 for leadership in Transforming Governance for the 21st Century. Dr Pradheepram Ottikkutti Executive Director - India Engineering of Cummins Inc. Ram took on the role of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Cummins in India, in 2019. As CTO, Ram leads a team of over 3000 qualified engineers and technicians, Test Cells and Laboratories, and Machine and Vehicle Integration Center at the Cummins Technical Center in India (CTCI). Ram is part of the global Cummins Technical Organization Leadership Team. He is also part of the India Leadership Team. The India Technical Organization (ITO) supports global and India specific technologies and product engineering. Ram holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, Ames, Iowa, USA and an MBA in International Business from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Deepak Gupta, former MNRE Secretary Govt. of India and UPSC Chairman has been a source of Inspiration to NSEFI. He presided over the conceptualization and implementation of India's National Solar Mission which is the basis for the latest ambitious target of 100,000 MW Solar capacity with 40,000 MW Solar Rooftop. He has rendered distinguished services to the country in his long administrative career and held many senior key positions in the Government of India. Deepak Gupta, Former MNRE Secretary Govt. of India and UPSC Chairman is the Hon. Director General of NSEFI. Dr O P Agarwal CEO of WRI India Om Prakash (O.P.) Agarwal is the CEO of WRI India where he leads a team of over 200 researchers. He is a highly respected thinker and practitioner with a wealth of experience in public policy issues related to urban development, poverty alleviation, capacity building, governance and environment. O.P. was a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from 1979 to 2007, during which he held several positions with the national and state government of Assam. In this time, he was also the Joint Secretary (Training) in the Department of Personnel and Joint Secretary (Urban Transport) in the Ministry of Urban Development. He was Secretary for Transport in the State of Assam. He was the principal author of India’s National Urban Transport Policy, which was adopted in 2006 and has remained the key document guiding urban transport investments since then. He was the World Bank’s global Urban Transport Adviser, in Washington DC, for over six years and led the knowledge development and capacity building function for urban transport in addition to advising on several projects. O.P. also chaired the U.S. Transport Research Board’s Committee on Transportation in Developing Countries for six years. He has written several papers on urban transport policy and governance issues. His book “Emerging Paradigms in Urban Mobility Planning, Financing and Implementation” was published by Elsevier in 2018. O.P. holds a PhD in Transport Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, a Master’s in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. Dr Aravind Purushothaman Vellayani Professor & Chair - Energy Conversion at University of Groningen Prof. Dr. PV Aravind is the Professor and Chair of Energy Conversion, University of Groningen. He did his MSc thesis research in the Section ET (TU Delft) on the topic “Generation of Electricity and Heat using Biomass Gasification, Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) and Micro Turbines” and received his MSc. from University of Oldenburg, Germany. He then continued his PhD work at the same section (TU Delft) on the same topic. Later he defended his PhD thesis titled “High efficiency energy systems based on biomass gasifiers, SOFCs with Ni/GDC anodes and gas turbines” at TU Delft. Winner of the DaimlerChrysler Umweltpreis 2001 with the program “Clean Air Initiatives in Developing Countries”. Monica has worked on several projects and among others contributed to: “World Bank Clean Air Initiative in Latin American Cities”, “UNDP Introduction of Fuel Cell Technology in Emerging Megacities” and “EU Controlling Urban Mobility Europe/Latin America” programs. In 2018 co-organized the 22nd WHEC in Rio de Janeiro and in 2020 contributed for the AHK/GIZ Hydrogen Sectormapping Brazil study and co-organized the SAE Brasil & Ballard Student H2 Challenge and organized the Energy Transformation Hydrogen core at the BW Expo Summit Digital 2020. Monica works as a hydrogen specialist consultant for the Latin America & Caribbean region, is Director of Institutional Relations of the Brazilian Hydrogen Association, Mentor of the Hydrogen Mobility core at the SAE Brasil (Society of Automotive Engineers) and Curator of the Biosphere World Expo Summit Digital.
Dr SS Thipse Deputy Director - Power Train Engineering of ARAI Dr. S.S. Thipse has done his Masters in Thermal sciences from Bradley University, USA and his Ph.D. from New Jersey Institute of Technology in the field of Alternative Fuels Combustion. He has Research experience of over 20 years in the development of Alternative Fuel engines and vehicles and has been working at ARAI since 2004. He is currently handling the development of CNG, LPG and HCNG engines in the capacity of Deputy Director at the Power Train Engineering Laboratory at ARAI. He has completed successfully several alternative fuel engine and vehicle projects for major OEMs. He serves as a member in the expert committee on Alternative fuels of Department of Science and Technology (DST) and MNRE. He represents India on the ISO TC 22 and ISO TC 197 committees on gaseous fuel standards. He is chairman of BIS TED-26 national standards committee on gaseous fuels. He is also member of AISC, MED 16, PCD-3 and CHD-6 national standard committees. He is Governing board member of SAEINDIA Western section, life member of Combustion Institute and ISTE. He is also a member of Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering at University of Pune. He has published 14 books and has 6 patents to his credit. He has numerous publications in national and international conferences and international journals. He has won three awards for best technical paper in international conferences.
